Surah An-Nahl, also called “The Chapter of Blessings (Sûratu An-Ni’am), is a special part of the Quran revealed in Makkah. It teaches us about ALL the amazing things Allah gives us—like rain, food, and even tiny bees! But some people forgot to thank Him. An Nahl Meccan sûrah, emphasizes Allah’s numerous blessings, such as the bees that are described in verses 68–69. Rather than expressing gratitude, the pagan people equated Allah with idols, and some of them buried their daughters alive (verses 58–59). The sûrah talks about the consequences for unbelievers and the rewards for believers. The Prophet ﷺ is urged to patiently and wisely welcome others to Allah, and Abraham ﷺ is commended as a thankful servant.
