التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

All compliments, prayers, and good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.

At-tahiyyatu lillahi wa-salawatu wa-tayyibat. As-salamu ‘alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh. As-salamu ‘alayna wa-‘ala ‘ibadi-llahi as-salihin.

تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں، اور تمام نمازیں اور پاکیزگیاں اسی کے لیے

ہیں۔ اے نبی! آپ پر سلام ہو اور اللہ کی رحمت اور اس کی برکتیں۔ ہم پر

اور اللہ کے تمام نیک بندوں پر سلام ہو۔

 

Authentic Hadith Reference of Tashahhud

One authentic Hadith regarding the Tashahhud is narrated by Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him):

Atayat Narration:

Ibn Mas’ud reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“When a servant sits in prayer, he should say: ‘At-tahiyyatu…’ until the end.”
