Surah Al Inshiqaq English Translation:

  • When the heaven has split open
  • And has heeded its Lord, and it has come to pass—
  • And when the earth has been extended
  • And has cast out that within it and has heeded its Lord, and it has come to pass—
  • O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.
  • So as for he who is given his record in his right hand,
  • He will be judged with an easy account
  • And will return to his people in happiness.
  • But as for he who is given his record behind his back,
  • He will cry out for destruction
  • And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.
  • Indeed, he was among his people in happiness.
  • Indeed, he thought he would never return [to Allah].
  • No! Indeed, his Lord was, of him, Observant.
  • So I swear by the twilight,
  • And by the night and what it envelops,
  • And by the moon when it is full,
  • You will surely experience from one state to another.
  • So what is [the matter] with them that they do not believe,
  • And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not prostrate?
  • But those who have disbelieved deny.
  • And Allah is Knowing of the corruptors.
  • So give tidings of a painful punishment to those who disbelieve,
  • Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.

Author’s Quotation:

“Reciting Surah Al Inshiqaq is also similar to many of the Surah’s in the Quran because the Quran’s ultimate focus is on spreading fear of the Day of Judgement. Because when we know there will be an end to all this music in the world some of us will rewarded with Jannah, and others will get punishment in hell. If you want to learn lessons of humility and believe in Allah, you should read Surah Al Inshiqaq”
